What a municipal collection event includes
AVA Recycling partners with Illinois municipalities, townships, and county programs to run residential electronics collection events as a turn-key service. Trucks, bins, staffing, and certified downstream processing are provided. After the event, you receive a tonnage and category report for state program records. AVA's processing meets Illinois E-Cycle and Illinois EPA standards.
Municipal electronics collection events under Illinois' E-Cycle program allow registered collectors like AVA to accept covered electronics from residents at no cost to the resident. The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency administers the program, and manufacturer fees fund the collection network. AVA is a registered collector under Illinois E-Cycle, meaning our events qualify for program participation.
Site logistics are planned in coordination with your public works or parks department. A typical event uses a parking lot or municipal facility with clear vehicle flow for drive-through collection. AVA's crew handles unloading from resident vehicles, sorting, and loading for transport. Traffic management cones and basic signage are provided.
